Dear Catherine,
We have just heard the very sad news of Colm's passing.
He was a great and dedicated basketball coach when I played with Clontarf Celts and was second to none when it came to statistics and a game plan. We won many matches under his watchful eye.
Over the years, when we met you both while out walking, he always remembered our children's names and asked how they were doing.
He was such a lovely man.

So sad to hear the news of Colum's passing. Many fond memories of basketball games with Colum and Catherine. And again later in life when Colum took up lawn bowling in Ierne.
Some times using his vast basket ball skills in this new sport. Always competitive.
Great fun was always on the menue with Colum.

I worked with Colm (CFX Mooney) for many years and we became solid friends. He was indeed a true gentleman in every sense of the word. A great friend and a super intelligent, witty, kind man. Colm loved a game of Chess and he challenged us daily with the Irish Times crossword!!. Great Memories.
