Con Allen

I just heard the sad sad news of Con’s passing. What a man to work, what a gentleman to have known, what an upbeat person to converse, what knowledge he had on all topics and especially matters farming,Gaa and all sports. Above all what a neighbour, always available to help out no matter what the situation. I used to visit Con on many occasion with his brother Michael. For what was meant to be a short while would turn into hours as we discussed matters football, local farming and how things have changed since bygone days when Con was the local agriculture contractor.
Con always had that enthusiasm to match that great smile. As he used to say “No job too big” was his motto
I regret having missed his funeral as I’ve just found out the sad news.
To Michael, Mary and Mike and all immediate family I convey my deepest sympathy on Con’s passing. May he now rest in eternal peace.
Again Con thanks for been such a great caring neighbour down through the years and above all “Thanks for the memories”
