Con Connery

Sincere condolences to Con's wife and family, to all the Connery's and their extended families especially Tony, Johnny and Billy whom we remember so well (not forgetting Jimmy)
Thinking of all the great nights with the Vantones.
The first night the band played Kilfinane back in the sixties was at the then Astor Cinema, it was a variety concert and they featured for all the second half, Con interduced the band (The great Mike Hayes on vocals rip).
Con's words were, I present to you the Vantone Showband.
Con the great showman rest in peace now.

My sincere sympathies to you all. I have many fond memories of Con from growing up in Fairyfield. Thinking of you all during the coming weeks and months.

Many a time i met Con fencing after the hunt in Kilcullane Herbertstown a gentleman
