I'm so sorry to hear of Con's passing. I worked with Con at the Observatory through the 80's and early 90's. He was always willing to help and we worked very together when he become the Chief Ops Office. Con also introduced me to the Credit Union where I became treasurer and chairman.

Phil, we are so sorry to hear of Con's death, he was a true gent; we have fond memories of you both on your visits to Killerisk down through the years keeping up your friendship with Mary having worked together in Lee Strand, she always spoke so well of you both, you made a lovely pair. We have wonderful memories of Con all down through the years and his countless visits here to the Kerries. On visiting Con last week we had a lovely afternoon of Con singing his songs and his sharp memory to discuss anything topical at the moment. It’s hard to think that you are gone to your eternal home as we always said Con & Phil or Phil and Con. Phil you can cherish the wonderful 65 yrs you spent with him as Con was an absolute gentleman and once you were happy Phil so was Con. He never wanted fuss or the limelight but enjoyed singing and discussing Kerry Football. Have great memories of him at the Races with Sonny. Roisin has beautiful memories of him too, and his words of encouragement always when she would play the violin for him. He took great pride in his garden which is meticulous. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all. May his gentle soul rest in peace.
