My sister Suzanne and I were so pleased to meet such a sweet and friendly neighbor while staying next door to Con during our three month visit to Tralee.

Con was always available with his amplification system for our Feis’s and nothing was too much trouble to him. A true gentleman to deal with always.

Con provided a short term rental tv service to patients in UHK over many years. He invariably arrived with his best friend Donal to set up the televisions. His service gave so much enjoyment to so many people and I doubt if he ever made a profit on the venture.
A kind , thoughtfull, honest man and a true gentleman in every sense of the word.

Everyone here at Kerins O Rahilly`s has fond memories of our names being called out over the speakers perched on top of Cons car before a big game or being called to the starting line at a community games event, It only since his passing that I learned that Con was a proud member of our club and former player and news of his passing has been met with sadness throughout the club. Widely regarded as being a pleasure to deal and a true blue - Rest in Peace Con.

Con lived to a good age but it is still sad to learn of the passing of one who was both a genius and a gentleman.
I have known Con since I started work with his family firm, WJ Mccarthy in 1964.
Attention to detail, absolote discretion and customer satisfaction were the guiding principles on which the firm had built an enviable reputation in the trade and in the town and I know that Con lived by these same guidelines throughout his long life.

Deepest condolences to the Liam, Diarmuid, Francis, Billy and the extended McCarthy family on the sad loss of Connie, so closely after Rena's passing too.

Connie and Rena were great friends of my mother Pauline (McDonnell), and her brothers, growing up together in Castlecountess. We would always pop into the shop when we'd go into town so they could have a catch up... it would last hours and the laughing was hearty, they were all such good, loyal friends.

It is very sad news for everyone, such a tremdous loss to the McCarthy family and for the town of Tralee to lose another intergral member of the 'old stock'.

As a distant cousin I would like to offer my condolences to the McCarthy family. I didn't know Con myself, but my dad Ted Duffy who has passed, and my Uncle Joe Duffy still living in London, would like me to offer our sympathies on behalf of the Duffy and Hussey (Bridge Street, Tralee) family.

Heartfelt sympathy to Frances and the Mc Carthy family on the death of dear Con. My memory goes back well over seventy years when Con was the senior altar server in 'The Doms' and I was just beginning. I remember his kindness, encouragement and interest, virtues which he carried with him all his long life. He was a man of deep faith, with a strong social conscience, always on the look out for people who were struggling or in need of support. One always came away, having met and chatted with Con, feeling enriched and uplifted. A line from one of the psalms sums up one of the old stock of Tralee - 'Graciousness in poured upon your lips because God has blessed you for evermore.' I imagine that Ma Mac, Bill, Aileen and Maxi were at The Gates to welcome you into the eternal happiness of heaven. Con, ta leaba tuillte agat i measc na naomh agus i lathair De.

So sorry to hear of the passing of Connie. My sympathy to Frances,Billy and his family. Connie and I go back a long time as I grew up in Castle Countess and lived there till I emigrated to Australia in 1977. I was employed by Con and worked for six yrs for him.To say he was a gentleman is an understatement and I can’t remember a cross word being othered by him. I hope where he is going has a river and plenty of Salmon running in it as outside of his family that was the love of his life. Rest in Peace Connie.
