Sincere condolence's shared with Madge and all your Family on the passing of your beloved Con. A lovely man to meet who loved his Family, Sport and that beautifull little roguish smile. Peter O'Brien of The Southern Garage in Skibbereen, pointed out Con to me at Grass Track bike event in The Marsh in Skibbereen a little bit ago, it was run jointly by The West Cork Motorcycle and Car Club in association with The Munster Motorcycle and Car Club, early to mid 1960's, Peter introduced Con as the The Man tweaking and tunning the Kid's bike (Mick Campbell) the start of a friendship as a young boy with heroes. Con fulfilled the brief of 00 on the Fasnet and was allways steadfast and thorough in his task every time. Some wondered why he was first in every year. The words we shared were "Why break up the team, When we already have the drem team" Con's smile in response said it all. Thanks Con for sharing with us all. Give my best to The Kid, Tom, Pius and the rest of our crew up there somewhere special.

My condolences to the McCarthy family. Sad today saying goodbye to Con in Grange. I always enjoyed conversations with him when resolving IT issues, in the garage in The Lough and in the Quality Hotel during WCR. He was always very helpful servicing my cars over the years. I hope COC of WCR will start a stage outside St Mary’s so he can watch. Rest in Peace Con.
