Conal (Christopher) Hughes

I’m so sad to learn of Conal’s passing. We met in Goa and we’re firm friends, squating in London and then becoming lovers for some years, trading jewellery in
markets in London and Europe and travelling and partying, lots of laughter, community and adventure. Sending condolences to his family and friends, gutted to know I will never see him again and know the man he became.

So sorry to be here writing on a condolence page for Conal. We lived together, laughed a lot, argued a lot, apparently! And were super close. Sending my love to you Conal, my warm hearted, funny friend.

Beautiful and enigmatic , with all your shadows and depth. You stood out and remained impressed upon me . Some are forgotten , some always stay.

Man, that's a big kick in the guts. Good times were had, life was lived. So much laughter. A good friend has gone.

So very sad to hear the news of Conal's passing today. I met Conal in the early 90's in London when a load of us lived in a big house in Shepherds Bush. He was the life and soul of many a good night, and was hilariously funny. Safe journey Conal. You'll never be forgotten. My condolences to his family xxx

He was a free spirit who was always interested in learning or trying something new. I will miss bumping into him in his taxi. We are keeping you in our thoughts & prayers. Oh Conal, I only saw you a few weeks ago, I can't believe you are gone so soon. It was so good to see you again. Remember when we lived together in London and worked together on different building sites back in the late 80's, we always had the best of laughs.
