To the family and friends of Connor,

I was heartbroken to hear of Connor’s passing. He wasn’t just a friend to me—he was like a younger brother. We first met when I joined the NKZN youth choir, and from that moment on, a bond was formed that I’ll always cherish. We shared a love for music—belting out songs, especially our favorite Iron Maiden tracks—and getting up to all kinds of mischief together. I fondly remember calling him “Little man,” and he’d always fire back with “Big man.” It was our thing.

Connor brought joy, laughter, and a sense of kinship into my life during those choir years and beyond. Though we didn’t see each other as much after school, we stayed in touch, and the warmth of our friendship never faded.

David and Pauline, you welcomed me into your home and treated me like one of your own. Siobhan, you’ve always felt like a sister to me. I spent so many weekends with your family, and those memories are treasures I’ll carry forever.

Connor, I will miss you dearly. I loved you like family. I only wish we’d had more time together—but I’m so grateful for the time we did share.

Rest peacefully, Little man. You’ll always have a place in my heart.
