I had the privilege of working with Conor in his specialized area in the SEN department @ Post Primary level @ St Mary’s DS, - time moved on, careers changed & with that, it was a lovely surprise to meet Conor after many years @ St Oliver Plunkett NS, in his new role as Deputy Principal incorporating SEN @ Primary level & mine at the NCSE, - such a gentleman with deep commitment to SEN & a great dry wit.

May his gentle & kind soul rest in peace.

I assure all Conor's family of my prayers and a remembrance of him at Mass. I had not met Conor since the Knockbeg days but I remember him as a gentleman--polite, mannerly and deeply precise. I often met him after supper and we talked of books that we had read. He was deeply intelligent in his analysis and also precise and clear in his thoughts. He wrote a piece for the College annual, reflecting on the novelties of College life in his first year. I remember one part of it was a reflection on the bells--how their sounding could change the rhythm of the day. May his gentle soul now rest in peace and may the bells of eternity sound for him now.
