Sincere condolences to the Maguire family on the sad passing of Conor. May his gentle soul rest in peace.
I only heard yesterday about the passing of my good friend Conor and so far I've shed many tears. He truly was one of the loveliest people I have ever met in my entire life.

Conor was a man of the highest integrity. He was kind, compassionate, loving, and always full of fun.

He had, in some ways, a difficult life - he would have loved to have married; living alone was not in his nature; but he made the most of his lot and, with a smile and a song, "kept the flag flying", as he would say. His rendition of "I wish I had someone to love me, someone to call me their own" now sings in my head; he sang it many times to me, with all the verses.

In the last few years he video called me often and we had long chats. We laughed, we chatted, he sang, and we prayed. I am so grateful for this time I had with him. I will always treasure these memories. I am so sad that I didn't get to say goodbye.

Conor may we meet again for a laugh, a sing and a chat in Heaven.
Lots of love, your good friend Charles.
I was introduced to Conor through video call by my boyfriend Charlie who knew him a long time. Unfortunately I never got the opportunity to meet him in person and we didn't learn about his passing until now. I am sorry that we did not get to say goodbye. Conor was always very kind to me and he was delighted when Charlie and I got engaged and bought our own home. We would've loved to have him at our Wedding at the end of the year and we were actually trying to reach out to him to give him a Wedding invite but unfortunately, it was not to be.
He always told Charlie to sing to me, in particular "You are my sunshine" and Conor would then sing it to us over video call which always made us smile and laugh.
It is apparent from all the condolences the big impact he had on so many people.
He will be missed by us both.
May his kind soul Rest In Peace ❤️
RIP Conor. He was a mighty man, will be sorely missed by everyone who knew him
Sincere condolences from all Conor's many friends in pro-life who greatly respected him as a brave and principled man. He was a mighty musician and singer and brought great lift and light to every occasion. I gcomhluadar na nAingeal go raibh a anam uasal ceolmhar.
Sincere sympathies to Conor's friends and family, on his passing.

I remember him well, playing away at the Molly Malone statue, from my early days in Pearse St. He always had a wink and a smile for us, as we headed up Grafton St, on the beat. He must have known that I was a fellow Cavan man!

Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam.
Sincere Condolences to the Maguire and Ward families on the sad passing of their Uncle Conor.
As I live in West Cork, i didn’t hear of his death until today. The older generation have already passed and the younger generation didn’t have my contact details.
I had a strong connection with his brother John Joe, who married a Kerry girl and his sister Peggie who came for a holiday to my house in Cobh when I was in Secondary School. We used to write to each other.
I have fond memories of him leading off the prayers and Rosary at his brother’s Funeral in Lyrecrompane, in Kerry,

May he Rest in Peace
Heartfelt sympathy to the Ward and Maguire families on the passing of Conor whose death notice I received only after he had been buried. I had not met him in recent times but looked him up a few times during my trips to the Cavan and Longford. Like his brother John Joe and sister Peggy he had that rare charisma that left you wanting more when the encounter was over. Rest in peace cousin Conor.
Mr. Maguire will be sadly missed in Cavan Town even in your worse day he made you smile. There was no one like him. Condolences to all his family and friends.

Deepest condolences to all of Conor’s family on his passing. Conor was a lifelong friend and I have many fond memories of going to fish in the Fiat 500 and coming back to Nicholas’ shop for the brown bread and duck eggs, everyone who remembers Conor will remember his Fiat 500 from the 1970s and 80’s. Many’s a spin we had in it from The Cross in Stradone and it even went to the mart with Willie Bell in his cattle truck.
