What on earth to say - Conor, this time you have me stumped! What an absolute shock and awful, dreadful loss losing Conor is.
I've known Conor since 2019, when he joined us at university and I became his personal tutor; teaching him until summer 2022 graduation and supervising his dissertation. As a personal tutee he was often exasperating (he won't mind me saying that!) and always worth pursuing! His commitment to SEN and Inclusion was apparent right from the start all the way through to his dissertation and post-graduation employment. His strengths really shone through in work-based settings with children and young people.
Conor had real calm and patience alongside a wicked wry sense of humour and I know what a good real friend he was throughout his time at uni and beyond.
Mostly, I remember how completely important his family were to him. Every university decision was shaped by his love for his family and every new arrival to the clan was a really big deal and made him very happy.
So my heartfelt condolences to Conor's family and friends for the loss of this really great young man; who will now always be a really great young man.
— Rachel Bassett-Dubsky
I taught Conor at the University of Northampton and it was always a pleasure to have him in my classes. He was quiet and thoughtful but then would crack a joke and the whole class would laugh. He completed his final year placement with a special needs school and did so brilliantly there, his mentor at the school was very fond of Conor speaking highly of the work he did with the children, particularly on using technology to aid communication and enable play. I will most miss Conor’s playful nature, the world has lost a young man who bought so much joy into the lives of children and young people. My deepest condolences to his family and friends at this terribly difficult time.

Fly high Conor. I do not think you ever knew quite how wonderful you were for children and young people, the difference you made to the lives of the children you worked with will live on in them x
— Lisa Smallwood

— Maureen Kinsella, Maree, Oranmore, Galway
I met Conor at university, and he was easily one of the funniest and most caring people I’ve ever met. I couldn’t wait to hear him on a Wednesday with the cricket team because anything he said was absolutely hilarious.
But he always had time for people if they needed it, and it didn’t matter who they were, especially if a game of FIFA was involved.
The world has definitely lost a great person.
Rest in peace Conor, you will be missed.
— Charlie Hughes

During our first year of university I was told so many great stories about Conor and his incredible sense of humour from his course mates. I was then lucky enough to live with him for the next two years and I can safely say he lived up to everything I had been told. Conor was one of the kindest, most caring, funny and good natured people I have ever had the pleasure of meeting, let alone calling a friend. He was taken far too young and I will treasure the memories of him always. May he rest in peace❤️🕊️

Conor was on my course at uni, and after being put in the same placement setting as him in 2019 my life has not been the same. I have never seen anyone else with the ability to work so well with children with special needs with such love, care and patience, as well as humour, and after 5 years of practice I'm still trying to live up to what I saw from him on the first day. Conor was there for me through the hardest, most trying period of my life, and did all he could to make it better. He sent me gifts, he called me every day, he brought snacks round to my house, he texted me weird facts about animals, he walked me home in the dark, no matter how late it was, so he always knew I was safe, and I know I was not the only one he did this for. Conor remains one of my best friends, and I will miss him immeasurably.
Kayleigh, Riley, and Mia I hope you know that your Uncle loved you so so much, he showed me every new picture of you, told me every achievement, and was always so proud. Liz, James, Declan, Shona, Dillon, Marc, Ruairi and Nicole - I am so sorry for your loss, and I wish I could say something to make it better.
Conor, bud, I love you more than I could tell you. Thank you for everything.

I was deeply saddened to hear about the passing of Conor Mc Carron. I met Conor at an interview to work for Revolution in Northampton. An interview normally lasts 20mins, but after an hour of laughing, joking around and conversations I knew that Conor, not only would be a great asset to the team but an amazing friend as well. He was such a wonderful person and his sense of humor always brought laughter and light into any room. His positivity was so contagious that no one would be able to stay negative around Conor. I'll always cherish the memories we shared and the joy they brought into our lives. Rest well mate and keep being the life of the party up there.

The first day I met Conor, he invited me to live with him in his house for a month when I needed it most. There is not much else needed to be said to express the brilliance of this man, I am proud to have known him and to have known that through our friendship I did manage to repay that incredible favour. The loss is felt incredibly deeply and though we've never met my love goes out to all his family in this incredibly difficult time.
