Conor McCARTHY

I was shocked and saddened to hear of Conor's passing. I taught Conor in Coláiste Éanna and, in that time, I got to know him as a funny, witty and popular young man. I met him from time to time in the years after he had left, and he was always chatty, polite and still full of cheeky banter. I know there are no words of consolation for such a huge loss, the void is immeasurable. My thoughts and prayers are with your family.

Each time we met , we left with the thought , what a lovely young man, good sense of humour and really polite. A credit to his family , friends.

Ger, Rosaleen and family just heard today of the tragic news of the unexpected death of your beautiful son. We are so so sorry! Words cannot express the pain you must all be experiencing. You are in our thoughts at this difficult time and will remain there in the coming months as you try to come to terms with this tragedy that has visited your close family.

To the McCarthy family, I am so saddened to hear of Conor’s passing. I coached Conor at DLSP rugby club a a young man.
He had a brilliant spirit and I christened him, Conor Munster McCarthy. His fellow teammates loved his company and he was always fully committed to playing the game.
My son Leon and his mother Sharon remember our glorious trip to London Irish where we won the Plate. Later that evening at Gatwick airport Conor was carrying the trophy and asked me what would happen the Plate?
I answered that we would be presenting it to the club President upon our return.
“ Will the President eat his dinner off the silver plate?”

I will always remember Conor with great affection.
