Very sorry to hear the sad news about Conor. Please accept my condolence. Like Alan (Cheezer) said great times were had when we were younger, but unfortunately in later life we lost touch. But we were always Good friends.

Conor was a good friend over the years, in university and later, and trusted family solicitor. Witty, convivial, musical, insightful and philosophical, a good host, always welcoming. I am so sorry to hear of Conor’s passing , I had no idea he was ill, I met him not so long ago at the airport . What a wonderful man , great memories of being in his company.

I have just heard the shocking news that Conor has passed.
My condolences to his family.

Was with him last Wed 17 July in the Hospice, as to next visit - Conor suggested that Friday through weekend likely to be family visits, Monday & Tuesday dealing with medics, so we agreed on Wed or Thursday. I sent him a text message this Tuesday eve re visit tomorrow, when no response, I check this website - GONE. A case of head in the sand by me so Conor, I'm so sorry that I missed your send off & my sincerest condolences to all the McGowan family and close friends. He was so intelligent in an understated way, independent, kind, witty, a bit of a gentle giant, he should have been in his prime but now lost to us. I can't believe I'm now saying - Conor. rest in peace and if there is another adventure, give it also a blast. Will miss you.
