Deepest sympathy to Conor's family and friends.

His enlightened and supportive early participation in the new science of genetic genealogy was greatly appreciated by the millions who have followed his example. Conor's enthusiasm came to mind again only this week, when a sitting TD, with much less well documented ancestry, pulled out of a promise to provide a DNA sample on the basis of some spurious "security advice".
