So sad to hear of Conrad’s passing. I knew him first as Orla’s and Ciara’s father and a friend of my dad’s when I was in school. I got to know him later as a senior colleague and advisor in my early career with ESB. He was a great mentor and a gentleman. I’m so sorry for your loss. He will be sorely missed.

Unfortunately as I’m now living in West Cork I wasn’t able to attend the removal or funeral. My deepest condolences. I have very fond memories of Mr. Murphy (as I knew him) coming in to Silverwood Hardware on Marian Road. When my own father died in 1990 he wrote a very kind and generous letter to my mother. His words have always stayed with me. My mother always appreciated them very much. She passed on in 2013.

Sincere sympathy to Conrad's children and family on the sad loss of a beloved Dad. I used meet Conrad around Ballyroan and he would tell me about his family and about Anthony in particular who knew my brother John growing up.
He also knew my parents and would always sympathise with me on their anniversaries. He was a very kind person and was always in a good humour. I will miss seeing him around. May you now rest in eternal peace Conrad.

Conrad was a good friend of my late father, John, from as far back as their student days. (There may also have been a Mallow connection but I’m not 100% sure about that). We particularly remember his thoughtfulness in staying in touch with Dad during his couple of years in a nursing home, and travelling down to Limerick to visit him at least once or twice.

He was also friendly with my mother’s brother Michael Buckley & his wife Kathleen (both also now deceased) through their membership of the Templeogue Bridge Club.

So on behalf of my mother Eileen, my sisters Mary & Clodagh, and my aunt Jennie we send our most sincere condolences to all the Murphy family.
