I was so sorry to hear of Cora’s death. She was a refined and very kind woman. She worked closely with us in the church as a reader, and who could forget herself and Josie Sheehan as Mary and Mary Magdalen in the annual Passion Play on Good Friday. She was always willing to give any assistance to the parish and she worked hard. Her commitment to St. Catherine’s and the parish gave us great heart in so many dark times.
I first met Cora when her mother was dying in the house. I was newly ordained and Mrs. Greene was first person I anointed. Cora never forgot that and how grateful she was. That was Cora, a big hearted woman though low in stature, a listening ear and supportive to all. As a mother, grandmother and great grandmother mother she is a huge loss to you all. May she rest in peace
