He was ready for a good conversation, to tell me about his ideas and his adventures. He enjoyed finding out and talking about your interests. I always enjoyed hearing about his unusual food experiences and experiments.

He will be missed by all who knew him.

Sincere condolences to Sarah, Ian, Sinead and all of Cormac’s family and friends. When I started in ICT two years ago, he gave me such a warm welcome. Having no IT background, he was a great Mentor helping me getting into the IT lingo. He was such a lovely gentleman; it’s been a pleasure to work with him. He was always curious and wanting to know how the “German way” of doing things was, I tell you he had some patience with me. You could have interesting conversations with him about everything and especially food/cooking. Rest in peace Cormac. I will miss you terribly. Your loss will be felt deeply here in ICT. My deepest sympathies to Cormac's family. I met Cormac through the Wicklow Civil Defence and the numerous hikes we did as a group. He was a lovely person and loved to talk which passed many an hour on a long walk. I hadn't seen Cormac for some years but I was very saddened to hear of his passing.

He was the first person I met when I started in this Dept. three years ago and he was so welcoming and pleasant that I knew it was going to be a good place to work.
