Siobhan, we would like to express our sadness, at Con's passing. We know how much he meant to you and all your family. Although circumstances were such that we had limited contact, we knew him as a man of integrity, kindness, humour and love. It was a joy to have known him.

Even though I did not know Con and he most likely didn't know of me, I still am very sorry for your loss and have been praying for you, Siobhan, and your family since I heard about his passing. Con was mentioned in a letter from Tim Hayes, Cregg, to my father John Sullivan here in the U.S. back in the early 1940s. My father's mother Ellen Hayes Sullivan was Tim Hayes' aunt. I just lost my husband in April so I know that those left behind need many prayers.

To Olivia and all the Hayes family, my sincere condolences on the passing of Connie. May he rest in peace.

It was with great sadness on hearing of your huge loss , Mr Hayes as he was always known to us was a fantastic neighbour to us as we were growing up , a great friend to my parents even to a point of dropping my mother off to the maternity hospital on one occasion.
It is only good memories I have of Mr Hayes , one being him buying my first drink up in the gaa after Niell and James said they wanted a soft drink when asked and I asked for a Bulmers and without hesitation it was ordered, but on many other times it was hearing Mr Hayes working on a car and it not going his way with a string of language and the offending part of the car leaving the garage.

He was a huge part of the old bishopstown and will be sorely missed by all
