Sincere condolences to Sheila, Anna, John and extended family, I was so sorry to read of Connies passing. Connie and Mrs Burns and the shop were a huge part of my childhood growing up, I have many fond memories of going there with my mother, even trudging through the snow in the winter to get the essentials, they were always there when we needed them. The heart of the community, wonderful people, they will never be forgotten.
Connie is reunited now with his beloved Noreen, may they rest in peace.

Sheila, our deepest sympathies on this heartbreaking loss. Your relative and my mum, Margaret Sreenan (nee Cahalane) sends her sympathies also. She has the fondest memories of holidaying as a teenager with Connie and his brother Fr Dan in particular and his sister Kitty and Sr Jarlath. She always spoke of them as such a lovely family, bright and intelligent and so interesting. God rest his soul.

Sheila, a sad time. I couldn’t travel down due to our own bereavement, but would have. May your father rest in peace. He was remembered at masses here this weekend .

We remember your Dad on his walks with your mum here in Ballsbridge when yours & my kiddies were small, never failed him to stop for a chat, so friendly, what a font of knowledge that man was, there seemed to be little he knew nothing about, always so interesting, telling us facts & stories of things around us here and in Sandymount from war times & so on, which we knew nothing of!! We’re so saddened for you but you should have no regrets. It’s still a grieving time however and so may he now rest in peace with your mum.
