Returning from a period abroad , I am profoundly shocked and saddened to learn of Con’s sudden death. I had the honor of working with him in the Parish Council and was deeply impressed by his sincerity, wisdom and good humor - a true gentleman to his fingertips. He was the first Inspector to sell a management approach to Health and Safety at work and trained all us, new inspectors in this topic. May he rest in peace.

Con & I were co-workers in Yellow Walls Parish. Working with Con was an honour, a pleasure and an education.

It was an honour to work with a man of such integrity and dedication. It was a pleasure to wok with such a rounded personality. As a fellow engineer, it was an education to see how effective and efficient a low key, step-by-step approach could be. Con was unflappable - he seemed to be guided by Julian of Norwich's aphorism "All shall be well and all manner of things shall be well".
