I am very sorry for your loss and shocked to learn of Anthony's death.
Anthony was an active Chairman of Ballintubber Community Alert group and an extremely concerned community person. I say this because on several occasions during his involvement with the group, Anthony would have called me to discuss ideas and projects for the good of others, especially for the care and good of older people. Anthony will be deeply missed.

Tony was a regular guest on my
radio show on Tuesday mornings updating listeners on all his projects. He cared deeply about the community and was a humanitarian man who really wanted to make a difference in his community. He will be deeply missed by everyone in the commmunity of Roscommon.

My sincere condolences to the Waldron family and his good friend Tommy Joe. I am still shocked & in disbelief that Tony is gone. He will be missed so much. I hadn't been living in the area for all that long but it didn't take long to notice the impact that Tony had in the area, and his ability to see projects through. A little guy but with a big presence. The first time I ever met Tony, he appeared out of nowhere with a big shovel to clear a ditch. I took part in the 'rambling house' and Tony was so appreciative of anyone who took an interest and joined in. Every time I met him he'd ask "Are you coming to the next rambling house?" Every conversation took the shape of a scouting mission to get people involved. The last time we chatted, he was so excited about the progress of the new kayak jetty in Ballymoe. I'm so sad that he won't now see it in use. Rest in peace Tony, gone far too soon. I don't think we will see the likes of him again.

A lovely gentle and kind man

Deepest condolances to the Waldron family and Tommy-Joe. So saddened for everyone when i heard that Anthony had left us. I and many others have great memories of a Croans junior football team of past players and coaches that Anthony put together in the 90's and that went on to win the county title. Anthony made the few seasons such fun and built a team spirit and togetherness amoung us all that was second to none. I could confidently say that we all won the tltle that year, not for ourselves, but for for Antony, such was the effort, fun and enthusiasm he put into it. Great memories. Anthony was ever the gentleman whenever i met him throughout the years since. His memory will live on. RIP Anthony.
