I just heard of Damian’s passing today. I worked with him many years ago in Alfrank Designs. He was an absolute gentleman and very kind always. I always think of him when I hear Sweet Heart of Jesus. My deepest condolences to all Damian’s family and may he rest in peace.

So sorry to hear the shocking news of the death of Damian. He was one of the nicest, most helpful and talented colleagues I served with in the FCA and RDF since the mid sixties.
Please know that you and all the family are in my thoughts and prayers at this sad time made all the more difficult by the COVID-19 restrictions on mourning rituals.

Our hearts are filled with sadness and tears, but our memories are filled with smiles and laughter of the good times with such a loving, entertaining and special gentleman.

From clé deas followed by a singsong and many pints at Clancy Barracks, always the last and most enjoyable stop in Portmarnock for Communion and Confirmation visits, tumbling upside down into the pool in Blanes on the mitch from school for three weeks, and partying with you at the many celebrations and weddings over the years. You lived your life to the full and brought joy and laughter to everyone you met and we will never forget you.

We have always adored you Damian and always considered you to be a wonderful friend to dad. He is absolutely heartbroken, as is mam. We all are. Sending your beautiful wife and best friend Marie, and your loving children Denise, Kenneth and Ciaran, your grandkids, sisters and extended family and friends our deepest condolences.

No doubt you'll have that accordion warming up in Heaven and have already organised the sing song. Rest in Peace beautiful soul X
