Damien (Damo) Ecock

So sorry to hear of the passing of Damien. Have many fond memories of visiting Bayside back in my youth. My thoughts and sympathies to Ghislane, Suzanne and Derek.

Ghislaine ,Suzanne,Derek & extended family, so very sorry to hear of Damien’s passing. Fond memories of fabulous days & mostly nights out with the BAI.
Damien was great company, which Pat (my late husband ) & I thoroughly enjoyed.
Watched very emotional & fitting celebration of Damien’s life on crematorium website Saturday 14th.

I worked with Damien for many years in both The Irish Whiskey Corner & The OJD where he played his part with the team in entertaining our thousands of overseas visitors annually - especially when he broke into song ! Sadly - too young to die.

My deepest symphaty to all of your family on the loss of a truely great character in Damien. I worked with Damien and he was a funny and uplifting character with a great sense of humour. Many nights he dropped me off on his way home and I will always cherish the great conversations we had, RIP Damien

Where to start with this it’s hard to begin but what I will say Damien is and always will be one of the Nicest genuine caring man out there. He always made me laugh from times where me derek and him where on the golf course and I couldn’t hit the ball to times we would have jokes about langers! I feel extremely lucky to have had him in my life for the time he was with us and will never forget this diamond. You will be sorely missed but always remembered for putting smiles on all our faces and being an example to others. I will miss you greatly as I’m sure Ghislaine Derek My mum and others will too. We would just like to share our thoughts and condolences with “Del Boys” family during this difficult time!

As we never actually met Damien we felt like we did through his son Derek and daughter in law Georgie. We heard many stories and had many laughs as to what Damien was like and what he got up to over the years. He will sadly be missed by many but as I always say “when we come into life we celebrate and when we leave we celebrate” Damien’s life should be a celebration as he had a great one doing the things he loved with the people he loved around him.

Our willow gave Damien his last kiss before he passed as she always gave him one and sent her love from Scotland as we all did.

Damien and his lovely family will be in our thoughts and prayers during this time.

We are so sad to hear the news that Damien has passed away, I had the pleasure of knowing Damien in my time as President of the (BAI-Bartenders Association of Ireland) and in my current position with TU Dublin-formally DIT (when we brought student groups to the famous Irish Distillers Whiskey Corner Visitor Centre). Throughout these times Damien was special (a great host, good singer, a genuine caring nature who always wanted to help out towards ensuring everyone had a good time). Damien will be indeed be missed he was one of the good guys we are lucky to meet in our lifetime !
