I am so sorry to hear of Damien’s passing. We were both in the same hospital room in the Mater Hospital before Christmas and shared many stories and laughs. He was incredibly good to me when I returned from surgery which demonstrates his unbelievable caring nature. We sat around a small screen watching arsenal and talking mostly about family. He was so proud of his kids and the world has definitely lost a special person.

Damo I wasn’t able to be there today but watched the wonderful service you had. You got an amazing send off, and today I learned so much more about you. I’ll be forever grateful for you and to you. College was our initial foundation then we added stress to that and from that time onwards, we were always friends. How you spoke about Karen and the kids, when I met Karen on the day we graduated I felt like we were old friends. Your sense of humour and laugh was infectious. I’ll miss you my friend but don’t doubt I’ll see you again someday. RIP Damo, until next time 💞
