Damian was always such a pleasant gentleman when i met him and up for discussions on all sports from rugby,Gaa and soccer or other topics of the day. A very handsome man who always put you at ease in his company and up for fun as you could see at Fiachras and Esthers wedding.Most importantly always a gentleman.

To know Damien was to know one of life's true gentlemen, always available for a quick chat about anything and a great sounding board for any ideas.

His intellect and appetite for learning, be it new languages or the latest and greatest development in IT was boundless.

He was also had a capacity to deliver his thoughts with a wicked sense of humour when required - and always with a smile.

He bore his recent debilitating illness with great fortitude and was a lesson to all in how to treat people with kindness and respect.

He will be missed, but never forgotten.
