So sad to hear this news. After more than 25 years I still remember him as if yesterday. So friendly and decent and wise. It was only years later I realised that, as we drove down to Ardmore, he was trying to give me guidance about the shark infested waters we all swam in. He himself and anybody working with him always appeared happy. My deepest sympathies to Dan Jnr and all his family. Rest in Peace.
— Ted Gannon
Dan, you’re gonna be sorely missed. For our family, you became our 2nd Dad when we lost our dear father to HHT. You kept close eye out for Mam, Sally. Indeed, when tragedy came knocking at our door again 10yrs ago, you were the first to appear. I’ll never forget the mad dash to the airport with the ‘forgotten documents’!
You ensured our dear pal Dara O’ got to the church in time for her own wedding!
You had a heart of gold and never looked for thanks or recognition.
Enjoy the party up above with Padraic & Paul.
Please continue to keep eye out for those you’ve left behind. ❤️❤️
