My heartfelt sympathy Martina & family, Tom & Pat on the very untimely passing of Dan. I have fantastic childhood memories of spending time in Hayes's on Galbally Road. Paddy & Lena had a welcome for me always & we enjoyed the happiest of days playing together & keeping an eye on the train coming & going to Waterford. Thinking of you all at this very difficult time. May lovely Dan rest in peace.

I was deeply saddened to hear about Dan’s passing.

Dan was one of the very first people I interacted with when I joined Spearline, and from day one I was struck by his presence. His integrity, clarity of thought, sharpness, and sheer caliber stood out immediately. I remember thinking to myself how fortunate anyone would be to work closely with him.

When he eventually became my manager, it turned out to be one of the most impactful learning phases of my professional journey. Our weekly calls were never just status updates. They were masterclasses. He taught me how to engage with customers thoughtfully, how to handle people with intention, and how to show up more effectively in my role.

He was incredibly generous with his time. No matter how busy he was, he made space. He stepped in when it mattered. That kind of leadership leaves a permanent mark.

I will miss Dan deeply. I am truly grateful that our paths aligned and that I had the privilege of learning from him. His influence will stay with me for the rest of my career.

Dan was always a fantastic mentor, and listener. We had some fantastic times together! As a Kilkenny man we had some great hurling conversations.
