It is with a heavy heart that I learned today 12th of Dans untimely passing. I spent 6 years with Dan at St. Augustines College in Dungarvan. After leaving school our paths crossed again for a few years as he was in college with my wife Marie. I have not met Dan for over 30 years and Marie and I only spoke of him fondly last week. So to hear of his death came as a shock.

Dan Hourigan got me a job working for him out in Shannon in the early 90's when there wasn't many jobs to be got or be had.
There was no cv , no interview , no references . I was told by Dermo on the Sunday night to turn up down at the house at 6am. which I duly did.
