He will be greatly missed by all who knew him for his sharp wit, great debates on cinema, music and rugby.
This in addition to his stories of a well lived life in public service.

His final illness was indeed bravely borne remaining active and without complaint to the very end.

I was Dan’s carer for 8 months and I’m extremely thankful to everything he gave to me during this time. We had a great time together, nice chats and experiences exchanges. He looked after me while I was looking after him, he taught me a lot of things about life and I was always amazed by his lovely stories. I’ll miss him a lot and I’ll always remember him. Rest in peace my friend.
