Dan McTeague

So very sorry to hear of the death of dear Dan - one of my Mum's favourite pupils when we lived in Letterkenny - and I had the pleasure of singing duets with him in many concerts and competitions. " Oh Holy Night" no body sang it like Dan mc Teague, every year at Christmas Eve at midnight holy mass you were waiting for it and it always brought you to silent tears because he sang it so heavenly.

Sincere condolences to the McTeague family on the passing of Dan. He was a great friend of my Mam and Dad and so much a part of my childhood memories of Christmas in Letterkenny. When he sang O Holy Night at the real Midnight Mass it made your heart soar and you knew Christmas was here. I still compare every version of that hymn and find that Dan's is the best. I can never listen to my favourite hymn ‘O Holy night’ without hearing Dan’s voice. He was always so supportive and encouraging when I sang in the Cathedral Choir in the 1980’s.
