I am so sorry to hear about your loss. Dan will be sadly missed. He was such a kindness and generous man.

Dan became a friend in Lafayette Louisiana. We had a beer together the evening before his return to Ireland. He will be missed.

Dan was a wonderful husband to his wife Cathy. He was a great stepfather of two. He was a brother to all of Cathy’s siblings and their spouses. He was an uncle to many, many American nieces and nephews. Dan was a grandfather to he and Cathy’s three grandchildren. Dan will be greatly missed. He is a big part of our entire family. Our pain is very deep. To be known as a gentle, kind, loving and Godly soul is a beautiful legacy. He worshipped God along side his wife. What a great man. He is already sorely missed. Rest in the arms of Jesus, my brother. We all love and honor you.

Danny said he always wanted to leave people in a better place than when he first met them. And I think he achieved that by helping.
His love of music was legendary, what a great player and singer.
Such a shock to hear of his death, may he rest in peace.

I will always think of Dan when I hear the song "Tennessee Blues" because he did it so well. Dan was a great singer and musician but more than that, a great down-to-earth fellow. I only knew Dan for a short while but felt like I'd known him for years because he was so personable and friendly. His presence would light up a room full of people and I was always happy to see him.

On Monday, as most times, I picked up Dan for the usual evening Bluegrass jam in town. When I dropped him off late that evening we shook hands, exchanged good luck and safe travels, as he was leaving for Ireland on Thursday and I wouldn’t see him again for months. How could we possibly know.
Life is so precious…prayers and thoughts for my classmate Cathy and family.

We are so sad about the passing of Dan. We loved him and hold so many beautiful memories. One of my favorite memories is when he and Louisa formed a little band and they performed "Go Tell Aunt Rhody" together with Louisa on the violin. I will always remember how his eyes lit up while playing music and how much he loved Cathy. We will miss you, Dan. Rest in peace.

Dan lived in Lafayette Louisiana and started coming to our music Jam at Cite' des Arts about two years ago. He was an excellent player and had a great voice, as I referred to him as "my favorite Irish tenor"! Dan became an instant friend with all of our musicians and we treasured his friendship.
It's with a heavy heart that we say goodbye to our dear friend. May he rest in Gods hands. Farewell and Godspeed to my favorite Irish Tenor!
