Sincere sympathy from myself and Monty to you, Claire, Fiona and Raymond as you grieve for Dan. He brought laughter to so many around him down the years, but as those who loved him through tougher times as well, and knew him as husband and Dad, you will miss him deeply. Praying for you as you grieve.

We didn't know Dad personally, but he made our extended family's annual visit to Santa so special. Our children are well and truly grown up now, but we continued to visit every year, and they all loved listening to his stories and his messages of kindness to everyone. He was central to how we celebrate Christmas. Sincere condolences to his family. Rest in Peace, Dan.

Our sincerest condolences to Dans family, we didn’t know him on a daily basis but every year for the past 16 years, Dan (Santa) made our Christmas so so special, we have such fond memories of his beautiful Christmas stories that made Christmas so special for all of us. We have wonderful photos with him every year as the children grew older each year. We just wanted to say Thank You Dan you were very special to us, may you rest in peace ❤️

Dear Clare, Fiona and Raymond, We are so sorry and shocked to hear of Dan's passing. We send our heartfelt condolences to you and all who were touched by Dan's warmth and love. His many talents that impacted all of us including playwriting, acting, singing, storytelling, and creating art. Hanging on our wall we have Dan's drawing of us that was on our wedding invitation. He sang "The Impossible Dream" at our wedding in his beautiful, rich voice. Dan will remain in our hearts forever. Clare, Fiona and Raymond we wish that you were here in Maryland with us so we could hold you tight. The service for Dan was beautiful and meaningful.

I’m so sorry to hear of Dans passing or should I say Santa as he will always be known by my family and I . We first went to visit him when my first daughter was born in 2005 and even though she’s now 18 she insisted on visiting him Christmas just gone. I never thought it would be the last time. He was such a kind and gentle man with a lovely story for each child. Even though I didn’t know him personally I am so very saddened by his passing. My deepest condolences to his family and friends.

Ive known Dan since i was a teenager , he , along with Clare, always made me feel welcome in their home, he was a gentleman and a joy to be around , i was deeply saddened when i heard of his passing and my thoughts are with Clare, Fiona and Raymond in these challenging times.

Although I haven't seen you since we were over, briefly, in '98, I was always glad to receive updates via FB, and Dan sounded in fine form, the last post I saw (via FB - the American Dad bit) My heart is with you all. I 1st met Dan working with him 21 yrs ago and he has and will forever be our family’s Santa. He was the 1st to know when I was expecting my now 15 yr old…. And every Christmas since then we always came to see him. On Christmas morning I wake up and remember his words…”when you 1st wake up on Christmas morning- don’t jump out of bed straight away and go find your presents I left- just take a deep breath in ….and be grateful for everything you have and everything you can bring to this day and know, that’s the true spirit of Christmas”.
