Devastated to hear about Daniel’s passing, and so sorry for your loss. He was an amazing, kind, funny, intelligent and highly principled friend and colleague. We first met at the BMA, and Daniel was the person who continued to check in on me the most after I left the BMA and the only person at work I felt safe and comfortable talking to about personal struggles. He was full of empathy, courage, and humour, and we bonded over so many shared experiences and views.

My deepest condolences to Brendan who he spoke of so proudly, Brendan’s niece and nephew, his mother Jude and the rest of the family whose photos and stories he fondly shared over lunch. You raised a wonderful and kind person who made our lives richer, and his loss will be felt by so many. May his memory be a blessing and bring you comfort.

I wish I was as articulate as Daniel was, so I could express the sorrow I feel, how I will miss his wit, fierce intelligence, interesting conversation and his compassion. Daniel was so incredibly loved by so many people. My deepest condolences to all the Carry family and extended family and the wonderful Brendan, it was clear how much you loved him Brendan and he adored you in return (the constant slagging was a telltale sign!) Daniel loved his family so much, he so often spoke about his wider family too, his cousins, nieces and nephews and Brendan's family. He looked up to Sean and loved him dearly. Madonna will never sound the same, Mista Tennylein ♥
