Daniel Costigan

I was deeply saddened to learn of Dan's passing today. As a former colleague of his at the Mental Health Commission, I have lovely memories of not only working with him but of the many chats we had in the kitchen. My sincere condolences to all his family. Rest peacefully, lovely man.

Sincere sympathy to you all on Daniel’s passing; he was such a warm, helpful colleague to so many in the Law Library and I greatly appreciated his friendship- he will be missed.

I am so sorry to hear about Daniel's passing.

I have many fond memories of Dan and Tim from my childhood. They were always so kind and friendly.

One memory I have in particular was sitting on granny's trampoline during the summer (circa 2006) with Aisling, Dan and Tim while Aisling put gel into Dans hair to give his hair spikes. According to Aisling that was the fashion at the time! I'm not sure if Dan agreed but he was so kind and patient to allow his cousin to try out a new hair style on him.

I met Daniel when he worked at Cystic Fibrosis Ireland. He was undoubtedly a gentleman; generous with his time, astute in his observations with a warm and generous spirit. His kind nature will be remembered by all.

Dear Michelle and all Danny's family and friends,
I knew Danny for a very short time when doing the BL and I found him to be one of the nicest, most patient and generous of classmates.
He shared his work; he never corrected - only suggested alternatives; he was one of the ones that dragged me through the process - but it was never a burden for him. He was endlessly cheerful and positive.
We had one great day going from court to court, observing the process and giggling with nervousness that it would soon be us! He was great company.
I know with it was a privilege to have known Danny and, at this terribly sad time, my prayers are with you all.

It was with great sadness that we learned this evening of the untimely passing of Daniel RIP. We have only the fondest memories of a pleasent, intelligent, and most courteous young man. We are so sorry to hear about Daniel. We fondly remember him climbing on a chair and then a slide to access our garden via a tall walk to play with our child.( followed by Timothy). He demonstrated intelligence, creativity, a capability to question everything, with warmth and fun at a very early age. He had an ability to captivate young and old with his intelligence.
