Have only just heard the very sad news , Dan was a lovely Gentleman and would always love to have a chat over a cup of tea , I knew Dan since the early 90's , Dan will be sadly missed by everyone who knew him . Thoughts and prayers to Jimmy ,Paul and all the Crowley family

Sincere condolences to Sharon, Jimmy and Paul on the loss of their very special Dad. I grew up next door (in 32) and will always remember Dan (or 'Mr. Crowley') as a kind and friendly man. Later, when I moved away from Ireland, I remember him always ready for a chat in the front garden when I was back visiting home - and I discovered he had a great sense of humour in addition to his sincerity and kindness! Dan was a lovely person and a truly great neighbour! May he rest in peace

Thoughts and prayers are with you all at this sad time. Had the pleasure of getting to know Dan through the sale of number 30 and him popping in after. We always had a chuckle, and he certainly left his mark on the community. Take care, and may Dan Rest in Peace

Sincere condolences from all the Lally Family of No. 32, long-time neighbours of Dan and Addie, and who watched Jimmy, Paul, and Sharon grow up. Dan was "very drole" in the words of another neighbour, Mrs. Kearney; his comment when you met him on a bad winter's day in the garden was "Desperate!". If you met him on a hot summer's day without rain for weeks, it was "Desperate!". He had the epithet in the Walkinstown Club for the handicapped, where he generously drove every Sunday, of "Desperate Dan - he's a terrible man!". Always remembered. R.I.P.

So sorry for your loss have looked after your dad on several occassions in macs st james he was such a lovely man and will be dearly missed RIP from myself and collegues of macs st james who have looked after over the years

Thinking of you Sharon, Jimmy and Paul and your families at the very sad passing of your Dad (“Uncle Dan” to me). I used to love coming over to your Mum and Dad’s house on Christmas Day and your Dad was always the life of any family gathering with his generous nature and lively spirit.
