So sorry to hear about Dan's passing. I knew Dan for more than 50 years and he was a wonderful person. His classmates in Trinity will always remember him for his skills on the piano and his ability to keep us all entertained. It was a pleasure to work with him later and he was always full of new and innovative ideas. Our deepest sympathy to Margaret and family.

Our sympathies to Margaret, Lynn and Lorna. We met Dan when we were living in Loughrea in the mid-70s and Peter worked on exploration for Tynagh Mine - I remember the jokes in the core sheds . We have not been back for several decades but have very affectionate memories of Dan.

"Dan the Man. The Man from Strabane", as he used to say when he was at the piano. I hadn't seen Dan in a very long time but I always held him in high regard and affection. It is with great sadness that I have read of his death in an IAEG notice. My thoughts and sympathy are with you Margaret.
