Daniel (Dan) Griffin

Our condolences to the Griffin family on the loss of Dan. He always had a smile and was a gentleman. May he rest in peace.

Very sad to hear of Dans departure. Sending my most heartfelt condolences to the Griffin family in this hard time. Went to school with Dan in the 80s in primary school in Ballyneale.lDan had it tough at school Scoury was brutal with him, those who know know, as Dans siblings knew and stood up for Dan. Dan had a lot of spirit.
Out of the memories one stands out..
Back in the days when the horses were allowed to graze on the school lawns ( they put a stop to that around the late 80s) Dan and his siblings would ride their horses to school.
The image of Dan stands out, galloping past the school bus in the morning, giving us the finger with that cheeky face and his wild mop of hair and a huge grin, riding bareback on his pony, galloping past us as we watched through the windows.
Wild and free.
Big spirit. . A wildling.
