We were very sad to hear of Dans passing, he was a great character, my late dad had great time for Dan & there was always hijinks when he arrived in. The famous yearly bet is now no more.

As others have pointed out, there was never a dull moment with Dan in the branch. We had some great nights out too. Fond memories when he brought me to his favourite Mrs Lee’s in Hazelhatch.
