Sincere sympathy to all the family at this sad time, Dan was a real gentleman, he often went out on the lorry with Daddy( Paddy Gallagher) in the summer holidays. He always visited our home in Navenny Street every time he was in Ballybofey- we all have fond memories of his visits. RIP Dan.

Very sad to hear of Dan’s passing. He was a true gentleman. He always had time for everyone and always had a great big smile on his face. I always felt better for having had a good chat and a cup of tea with him in the Library. He will be sorely missed. There will never be his like again.

I’m so sorry to hear of the death of Dan. I knew him from my earliest days at the Bar. He was a wonderful colleague and we never passed each other without fond words or anecdote. He was a gentleman of the Bar and a gentle, gentle man. He was much loved by all his colleagues. None of us fortunate enough to know him, and join in a Bar dinner in his company, will ever forget his rendition of “Yellow Bird”. It was always the highlight of the evening. It was a privilege to know you Dan. May you rest in peace.

A man worthy of his generation. He walked quietly among us with grace and humour and now he is gone. My thoughts go out to his loving family.

We were very sorry to hear about Dan. We have very fond memories of him.He was a truly lovely man and great colleague. We can still hear his laugh and him singing “Little Yellow Bird”and see his smile. That’s a very good photo you’ve chosen for his death notice.
