I knew Dan from the Clonsilla Inn and i had many a chat with him mainly about music .

My deepest condolences to all the O'Connell family. I had the great pleasure of working with Dan in the Station for many years. He was one of the corner stones of C crew, a gent and one who always watched out for the new guys. Always fondly spoken of. May he rest in peace.
Rest in peace, Dan. We will always remember him as a kind and positive person who was always smiling and had a wonderful sense of humour. He was always ready to help and brought warmth to those around him. We feel grateful to have known him and he will always live in our memories.

Dan and I were good friends for over fifty years and I enjoyed his company, his quick wit and sense of humor. We had many a good time even up to recently trying to put the world to right and going over old times.

Deepest condolences to the O'Connell family on your Dad's passing. I had the great pleasure of working with Dan at Dublin Airport, and have fond memories of many a long chat on nights in the fire station, as we listened to some of his chosen tunes from the 60's. May Dan rest in peace.

I first met Dan in may 78 when we were recruits into the APF section at Dublin Airport. We worked together on C crew for over 30 years.ln retirement we kept in touch,and remained friends.Dan would love sunning himself outside Joe May's pub in Skerries. Condolences to Dans family, and rest in peace my friend.
