Danno O'Keeffe

Thank you all for the kind messages that we all received on the passing of Danno. His pass was all of a sudden shock to us all but at least his in peace and behalf on the Devane side of family, we’d like to say Thank you for always been here for all of us Danno. Sincere condolences to all the family on the loss of a true character and loyal friend.
I first met Danno in Cathal Brugha Street when he was captain of the rugby team. He convinced me to play prop beside him. What great fun we had. Even when he cracked a few ribs at a match in Athlone he never lost his sense of humour.
We hooked up a few times over the years and every time it was like we were back in college. Thankfully I met him before lockdown in the pub in Dingle for a catch up.
Danno rest in peace until we meet again!

We only just heard of Danno's sad passing. He has been a dear friend for over 12 years, with his humour and cheerful smile. Our world now has a Danno sized hole in it. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family. God bless you Danno - rest in peace.

I just found out that Danno has passed. Sincere condolences. Our paths crossed when we stayed in the Connemara coast hotel and also at the Galway and Killarney races. He was one absolute gent and I am so sad. I am in Dingle at the moment and was going to dine in his restaurant next week. I only found out when I picked up the Kerry Live Magazine. May Danno rest in peace.

It was with great shock and sadness that we learned of Danno's sad passing.
He was a great character. Always very welcoming, helpful and kind.

Sympathy and condolences to Danno's family. As I have only come to know of his passing today, its a shock. Danno and I attended school together at Mungret and had maintained a close connection throughout the years. I always stopped by his pub during my visits home. Of course our conversations were always about Rugby and the various goings on in Dingle and Kerry. I will miss his unique and kind nature. Rest In Peace old friend.

I belatedly received news of Danno's untimely passing. I had the pleasure of working alongside this giant character many years ago. Always a sharp wit, articulate and intelligent, but a man who knew how to enjoy life to the fullest. Dingle and the world beyond it has lost a very dear and unique friend, and an exceptional human being. My sincerest belated sympathies to Danno's family and his enormous circle of friends. I was so sad to hear of the passing of that great man of Dingle Danno.
We have lost our prop forward, and team and schoolmate from our time in Mungret College Limerick .Danny had a huge heart and was a determined and fiery competitor who always gave of his best and inspired those around him.He also was a man of great humour.This was greatly valued.

A Light has gone out in Dingle and West Kerry.Danno left an indelible mark on everyone who was fortunate to have met him.Danno was unique, a gentleman,full of wit,humour,and roguery..He had great presence,was kind and generous with a constant twinkle in his eye.I used to so look forward to Lunchtime on Fridays,to review the Sporting events of the week,the Irish Examiner of course,and the fabulous Hake Salad with 6 Chips.To his Family,his many Friends,to Mary Mac and to all his Staff that worked with him,my heartfelt condolences.
