So sad to hear of the passing of our classmate Danny. He was one of the nicest guys you could meet. I am delighted to read here, so many references to Danny's gentle soul. For during our two-year course at Maynooth College (1968-70) Danny was an exceptionally genuine, sincere and yes gentle soul. Liked by everyone then and obviously by everyone since. Deepest Sympathy to all his family, relations and friends.

The first time I met Danny Brogan was on the 15th August 1996.
Daddy, (J.G. Kelly - Danny gave him that name as a child, as he couldn't say John Gerard) Adrian Brogan and I had just seen Oasis in Páirc Uí Chaoimh.
On that night I saw three legends for the first time in my life: Liam and Noel Gallagher and Danny Brogan.
We stayed with Danny and Anne-Marie in Connie Doolan's for a few wonderful days.
Danny showed us the town. Anne-Marie held the fort.
He will be sadly missed by all the Ballyraine Kellys.
Such a great, generous character and a proud Donegal man.
Our heartfelt condolences to the Brogans and all who loved Danny.

Every week I’d phone him for the food order for the hotel and a few years later go on to discuss my wedding menu with him. Danny was a gentleman and a pleasure to deal with at all times. Then one night prior to our wedding a connection was made with our friends Niall and Ger that Danny was Pat’s brother . It really is a small world.
