So sad to hear about the passing of Danny .may he rest in peace. I have fond memories of going to blackrock with my parents and family in the summer and we always went into the shop.Danny always had time to speak to us all and so friendly.We all went home happy.

I was fortunate to be home for Christmas and celebrate the life of one of Blackrocks finest, Danny Hughes. It's almost a half a century since I started my first job behind the counter in the wonderland which was Danny's shop. The stories are legendary and the life skills and fun I had there can never be matched. Conor, you are blessed to have had such a parent. Le gach dea ghui.

I was so sorry to learn of Danny's passing. He and your family hold a special place in our family's life. Visiting Danny and the shop was always a must for my mother Colette and our family. We send our love and prayers and treasure fond memories.
