Danny Sharkey

I was not able to attend my father-in-law’s funeral but he was an absolutely kind and happy man. In my eyes after knowing and hearing everything about him. I truly believe him to be an absolute ‘legend’ in the area he lived and all that he done for others.
RIP Danny. You will be with your lovely wife, Maura and lovely daughter, Maire now. Go on to live another life in another world. Love you very much. Mandy xx

Sincere condolences to Donal, John,Patrick and the extended Sharkey families. Danny was a gentleman and it was a pleasure to know him. Manys a story has been told locally in both Bridgend and Burt since the word of Danny's death spread among the area. Not one bad word was uttered about him. All his past pupils had nothing but praise for him. At his funeral mass today his granddaughter spoke beautifully about her grandfather. Stories she shared put a smile on everyone's face. The taped voice of Danny was played and I for the last time heard his voice over the airwaves. I'm sure he is at peace with his wife and daughter up in heaven. Rest in peace 🙏

My deepest sympathy to all the family on Danny's passing. Knowing him for 90 years and having shared a small bedroom with him in St Eunan's College, many years ago, I was very saddened by his passing. The funeral Mass was moving - I was glad to be present on-line. The eulogy by Danny's grandaughter was superb ; it caught her grandad's character perfectly and it was so articulate. And then to hear the recording of Danny himself - for sure that is a family treasure and a lovely memorial. Donal took great care of him in his final illness. Ar Dheis Dé go rabh a anam dílis.

So very deeply sorry too hear of your beloved dad master Danny Sharkey's passing 😪, he was a an absolute gentleman and it was always a pleasure too meet and talk with him when he was out and about. Never forget the time he and we all walked along with donacha at the old grianan for charity in the 80s,🌟. He'll be missed by us all lucky enough too have known him.💫.
