It was with great sadness that we learnt that our Great Auntie Daphne had passed away. We have such fond memories of meeting Auntie Daphne and dear late Uncle George at various McConnell/Kay gatherings and visiting them at their home near Enniskerry. Visits full of kindness, fun and laughter. A wonderful great aunt and uncle to us and dear friends to our late parents Billy and Geraldine Kay.

Sincere condolences to all the family and friends of Daphne. She was a lovely lady and always full of the joys of life. I grew up in the house next door to where Daphne grew up. I can remember at one time she got herself a motorbike and called to ask my mother if she would like to go around the block on the motorbike. My mother declined but was that was just like Daphne, to invite and include other people in her various joys. I can also recall herself and my father kicking football together in the laneway. Daphne will be deeply missed by all who knew. Ar dheis Dé go raibh sí
