Chris and Claire So sorry for the loss your wonderful mom Daphne Rip We only found out by chance of her passing .We have tried to find her a few times to Thank her for helping to deliver our daughter in 1982 with Dr Paul Crean during the bad snow when we were snowbound in Applewood Heights. She is often mentioned and will always be remembered by us we called our daughter Amy Daphne. Thinking of you all at this sad time

To Clare and Chris, I am very sorry for your Loss. Daphne was a special person to me and now I can tell you why. She was very Kind, generous and encouraging to me. She welcomed me into your home when I most needed it. She gave her time and helped me to bring my Drums to rehearsals which I could not have done without her. I had conversations with her where I felt heard and cared for. I haven’t forgotten this even though it is nearly 40 years since we last spoke. God’s Speed Daph and See you down the Road!

To Clare, Chris and family, so sad to read about Daph as she offered the warmest and most generous of hospitality to us 'young ones' back in the day and her house/your home was a safe and happy place for us all to hang out. We had great conversations and a lot of laughs with her. May she Rest in Peace. I hope that you all get some comfort from the happy and funny memories you have of her and knowing how much she loved you all.

I have wondeful memories when in Applewood Heights the first time i met her i stayed for dinner and Daphne introduced me to my very first "Toad in the Hole" it was a new concept presentation English style to bangers and mash...
Daphne was a wonderful, loving and caring person to everyone who entered her house over the years whether Greystones, Bray or Rathnew. When working in Mount Usher Daphne always called into me on her walk to Ashford Village for a chat and catch up especially on how mum was. They will both be together now. Thinking of you all at this time and big hug to you both ❤️ ❤️
