The spring here in New Zealand (as you asked me too) is asking me to tell you, my dearest Daria, that there is still beauty in this world, a beauty that I know you would appreciate, full of blossom, aroma and colour. I hope you and my mother have recognised each other wherever you both are with the warmest of a heartfelt hug. We miss you terribly. Vivis en nuestros corazones por siempre.

Sincere condolences on the tragic loss of your wife Daria. I didn’t know her personally but after todays wonderful memorial service it gave me an insight on what an amazing person she was. Her presence on this earth was not long enough but what she accomplished in that time was amazing . They say they take the good young and Daria was one of them . Rip.

Daria was a such a lovely lovely woman, she always had a smile and a friendly word to say. I knew her as a neighbour and as a mother and my own son just loved her. The love she had for her boys was so apparent and she was such a wonderful mother to them. I’m very sorry that in our busy lives we lost touch in the past year, and I had no idea what she was going through. I wish I could have lent her some support. She made such a big impression on me in the short time I knew her. I will always remember her smile and her kindness. Huge love to Sebastian and the boys. Life is so unfair, you deserved so much longer with this amazing woman. The ceremony today was beautiful and a fitting tribute. Know that she will be remembered fondly by so many people. xxx

I have not seen her in a few years since the Park Academy but I remember how kind and lovely she was and how much the boys meant to her. We are so deeply saddened at the loss of your beautiful wife & Mum, Daria - a very special person who was wise beyond her years, and an absolutely wonderful mother.

We only knew one another for the few years since we moved to Eden gate, but some of my favourite memories of her will be of us (frequently!) trying to find our boys together - me on foot and her on her bike… when we would eventually find them - full of mischief and usually where they were not supposed to be! - instead of getting cross, Daria would just quietly smile and say, ‘they remind me of my childhood’. She was equally calm when they decided to build dens using material from her beautiful garden! - I learned many lessons from her & she will be greatly missed.

May the wonderful memories you have as a family always bring you comfort & Daria, may your gentle soul rest in peace 🤍

I was very sorry to hear of Daria’s passing. I had the pleasure and privilege of driving Daria to some of her hospital visits. We had some great chats. She was a lovely lady.
