We were so sorry to hear of Darren’s passing just before Christmas. He was an excellent carer, a great colleague and very much loved by all of his clients. All of us in Home Instead will miss Darren as he made an impression on anyone who was lucky enough to meet him.

I had the pleasure of working with Darren in one particular clients house. He was such a kind attentive carer and went way beyond his regular duties. We always had a laugh and I never seen him in bad form. He will be sorely missed by everybody. God has called back one of his angels to his side.

To all Darren's family -

We are so heartbroken to hear about Darren's death, and offer you all our deepest condolences.

Darren took care of our Dad for years. We've lost count for how many years, it feels like he'd always been with us. He was in twice, sometimes three times a day, and over those years, he became part of our family too. Darren was even so kind to attend my wedding recently, on his day off, so that Dad could be there too. That's just one of many examples of how kind Darren was, and how above and beyond he went for our Dad, and our family.

We LOVED the chats with him; hearing of his adventures over the years and hearing all about your family. He had only recently been telling us how proud he is of all his nieces and nephews. I'll really miss hearing him saying 'Alright Ciara!' when you'd meet him walking down the road or when he'd come into the house - always with his Insomnia coffee in his hand and one for our Mam too. He was such a character, an absolute gem and he will be so very missed.
