Dear family
I was devastated to hear of Darrens passing . He was such a gorgeous soul , so full of laughs and an infectious smile . I am a costume designer and I knew Darren many years ago when I used to design the costumes for his hair shows . He was such a talent, with an incredible eye for design . I more recently had the pleasure of his company again when he very kindly said he would do my hair for my wedding ! I was so nervous but it was so lovely to have his gorgeous bubbly spirited talent beside me on my special day . I love and miss him dearly .

Darren was my hairdresser when I first moved to Dublin back in 2001. We bonded over nothing and everything at the same time. What a character. Kind. Honest. Fun. Genuine. Somewhere Darren is smiling and having the craic and recommending sharp cuts.

My deepest condolences to Mark and Darren’s family. It just hasn’t sunk in yet. Darren was one in a million, an exceptional human. People like him don’t come around too often. I shall miss him terribly. The world is a duller place without him 💔

Dearest Mark there are no words that can convey how very sorry I am for the loss of your Darren. I love how much Darren loved you and how his already gorgeous eyes sparkled whenever he spoke of you and your life together.
Betty you were the apple of Darrens eye and he spoke of you so often as well as his entire family, he loved you all so much. Darren was also never short of constant praise for his wonderful team and clients at Crow Street Collective.

There are no words that can help to make sense of such a tragic loss... Darren was a truly gifted, caring, funny and inspiring human, he lived his life to the full and every memory I have of Darren, he is smiling.

He lit up every room he walked into, was an absolute gent, and the world shines a little less brighter without him.

We were primary school pals and when my family emigrated to Canada we were broken hearted to be separated. We then became pen pals and I looked forward to each letter I received from Darren. From ballroom dancing to hairdressing, I was so proud to see Darren and how successful he was in life. His ambition, drive and passion was admirable. And although we lost contact along the way, Social media reconnected us in recent years and he was still the same witty, ambitious, humble Darren.
I’m heartbroken to hear of his passing. Rest in peace Darren, the world is a darker place without you.

I am very sad to hear of Darren’s sudden passing. I only met him and he did my hair a few times in House of Colour! He was just lovely! You could tell he was warm, genuine and lovable. It’s a tribute to him all these wonderful messages. May he rest in peace, smiling down on us all.

The first time i got my hair done off Darren he made me fell like the most important person in the room he was so nice great smile and i got a big hug when i left.
