My deepest sympathies to the family of Dave Billings.
He was a true gentleman and I was honored to have hurled with UCD from 2001 to 2005 winning a Freshers All Ireland, Walsh cup and 2 Dublin championship medals under his leadership. But most cherished of all is the yellow Cooper helmet he gave me after a Dublin club game which I still wear and will be worn with a new sense of nostalgia.
Thanks for making my college days years I won't ever forget. Rest in peace Dave.
Dave was not only a servant to Vincents ,,UCD and Dublin GAA...He was a servant to football and sport in general. Hard to believe such a passionate enthusiastic and vibrant man can go so quick and so early. My sincere condolences and sympathies to his wife and family

So sad to hear of Dave's passing. I knew him from Citibank days and met him again when my daughter started in UCD, always available to give good advice. A true gentleman. Deepest sympathy to his family. RIP Dave
I knew Dave for over 50 years; at school in Marino; then playing with St Vincent’s; Citibank where we worked together and at IIU when we took-over Gandon. Dave had two great qualities - loyalty and commitment. Whether in business or on the playing field, you never doubted his support and enthusiasm. Good Men are hard to find but great men are harder and Dave was a great man.

May he rest in peace.
